Composite Deck Sustainability

An informed choice of quality and environmentally friendly materials is a challenge often placed to businesses looking to be financially profitable.

The composite deck is a totally eco-friendly option. It is made from recycled materials and waste wood and thermoplastic that would otherwise go into garbage.

Used in Deck composition, wood is a 100% recyclable product. The recycling process does not produce aqueous effluents and it has several advantages for the environment: reduced dependence on oil as well as reducing the emission of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.

The composite deck prevents deforestation (more than PVC or wood). It also has a significant useful life, reducing the need for replacement. It is a simple maintenance product and easy to clean. Because it supplied as a finished product , it does not need to be sanded, varnished or painted. Just the occasional cleaning with water.

In terms of costs, the composite deck is more affordable than other solutions. Although the initial cost of treated wood is lower, maintenance costs are significantly higher. Exotic wood, however, has a cost per square meter comparable to that of composite decks, but is often collected unethically.

This is a very “environmentally friendly” solution to adopt in the interior or exterior covering of buildings.
